Experience:
Accessing the Startup Alliance
Startup Alliance is an online alliance — membership is open to committed entrepreneurs, business advisors and investors who support entrepreneurs and their companies. Participation requires members to pay dues and accessing the site requires sign-in.
All members may participate in any portion of the site except for private invitation only SIGs. The member that created the private SIG issues invitations. No special membership tier is required to participate in a private SIG to which one has been invited.
Membership Experiences
Startup Alliance members collaborate one-on-one with other members and many-to-many within the SIGs, coworking and community problem solving tools we provide. Collaboration happens through the written word and real-time coworking and SIG participation. Each member has a Profile accessible through a search feature to help people make beneficial connections leading to mutual success.
Community Content
Each Member provides insight about their role and activities and participates in community wide and private SIG problem solving. Our collaboration and knowledge sharing tools provide a historical trove of business wisdom and solutions contributed by the members themselves.
Content within a SIG is private and only accessible to those SIG members. Content within the common areas is accessible to all authenticated members. Non-authenticated viewers (signed out members and all non-members) cannot see this content.
Governing Rules
Membership in Startup Alliance is governed by our Code of Conduct and Commitment Pledge.
Three Membership Levels
- Associate membership – Affordable for any entrepreneur on earth. Associate members have full access to SIG and community features including coworking, live events and opportunities to receive mentorship.
- Entrepreneur membership – Active entrepreneurs typically choose Entrepreneur membership. Entrepreneur members can access all features including direct messaging, activity reports and they can lead SIGs.
- Mentor membership – The most committed become Mentors. In addition to full access and privileges, Mentors gain recognition for their expertise, priority access for colleagues and access to new peers.

Structure:
The Organization
Startup Alliance was founded by John Knapp who leads the organization and oversees its operation. An advisory board of seasoned entrepreneurs and startup experts help guide the organization to prioritize, vet and evaluate new member benefits and the product roadmap.
The Delivery Platform
Startup Alliance is an online alliance accessible as a web application on mobile and desktop devices. The platform allows global accessibility for all Startup Alliance members.
Financing
Startup Alliance is capitalized by member dues, the founder, sponsors and The Startup Alliance Foundation.
